The Republic of Cuba consists of one large island and several small ones situated on the northern rim of the Caribbean Sea. To the north of Cuba lies the United States and the Bahamas, Mexico is to the west, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica are to the south, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic are to the southeast. Cuba is a beautiful country that has a very controversial history. Famous for its cigars, Cuba was a popular tourist destination spot for United States citizens. Cuba offers unique events, hot music scene and also immaculate beaches for tourists attractions. Key points of interest include the capital city of Cuba – Havana, the Morro Castle Fortress, the Vinales Valley where the Mogotes can be seen – several rock formations of lime stone covered with vegetation and palm trees and Cayo Coco beach - one of the most paradisiacal places in Cuba.
