The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab state in Western Asia, constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen. The coast is formed by the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. Saudi Arabia consists mainly of deserts and undulating sands but its great attraction is petroleum and the wealth it generates, there are also numerous archeological and technological attractions. Saudi Arabia is the home of Mecca, the holy Muslim site which all Muslims try to visit at least once in their lives. Al-Masjid al-Nabawi, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Quba Mosque and Jawatha Mosque are known as some of the holiest mosques in the world of Islam. The lovers of history can visit the ancient ruined city of Dumat al Jundal where can be found traces of Sumerian civilization. Other historical attractions of Saudi Arabia include Tayma, Medain Saleh and Rock Carving Site.
