Romania is located at the intersection of Central and Southeastern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea. Romania shares a border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and Moldova to the northeast and east, and Bulgaria to the south. Known as the parent of the Transylvania region, home to the one and only Count Dracula, Romania offers more than just breathtaking castles built upon rolling green hills. Romania is a land of diversity and ruggedly beautiful. Here can be seen traditional villages, where customs are being kept for thousands of years, medieval castles and impressive landscapes. Cruises through the channels of the Danube Delta which hosts over 300 species of birds as well as 45 freshwater fish species and the Bran Castle which is the place where Dracula lived are the two main attraction in Romania.
