Montenegro is a country in Southeastern Europe. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the south-west and is bordered by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the northeast and Albania to the southeast. Montenegro is certainly one of the most interesting spots in the world. The pearl of the Mediterranean boasts much natural wealth, beauty, mild beaches, clear lakes, fast rivers, and gorgeous mountains. Despite its small size, Montenegro offers not only a great diversity and abundant natural beauty but history, culture and tradition as well. For those looking to relax, Budva has beautiful beaches with breathtaking views across the Adriatic Sea.  However if an adventure holiday is more appropriate then the nation's mountains are also a thrill, with biking, trekking, water rafting and hiking all on offer.  Despite the newness of the country Montenegro still has its share of history including the medieval town of Kotor which was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
