Hungary is a landlocked Central European country. It is situated in the Carpathian Basin and is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine, and Romania to the east, Serbia, and Croatia to the south, Slovenia to the southwest and Austria to the west. Thanks to its position in the center of Europe, Hungary represents a point of crossing between the various European cultures. Here can be found thermal spas, good wines and lively arts. In the countryside, there are majestic plains, Baroque towns, resort lined lake, horse markets and rustic villages. Hungary has a long and rich cultural history, with significant sites. Main attraction is without a doubt the colorful Budapest, with its monuments and palaces, the coffees, the lively artistic and musical panorama, its numerous cultural and recreational manifestations. The other attractions of Hungary are its good wines, the relaxant thermal stations and the birdwatching in some of the best places of Europe.
