The Federated States of Micronesia consists of 607 islands extending 1,800 miles across the archipelago of the Caroline Islands east of the Philippines. Approximately 100 islands are inhabited. Micronesia is known all over the world for its beaches off the coast of every island. Every beach in the sub-region has pristine blue waters and healthy aquatic life. Micronesia is considered to have many of the best dive spots in the world too. Surfing, eco-tourism, and World War II battle sites are also great tourist attractions in Micronesia. The ancient city of Nan Madol of the Federated States of Micronesia is by far the favourite historical attraction among tourists. Other than the beach, Micronesia offers great outdoor vibes too.
