French Polynesia is an overseas country of France located in the Pacific Ocean. There are around 130 islands in French Polynesia, the largest and most populated one is Tahiti. The country boasts a beautiful climate and an outdoor topography which provides many outdoor activities. These activities include sightseeing and hiking to beautiful waterfalls and lagoons, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and water sports of various kinds. French Polynesia’s biggest attraction is the unique magnificence of Rurutu - the island features a lagoon, surrounded by steep cliffs and several caves. Rangiora is the second-biggest atoll in the world - its lagoon, which is supposed to be the ideal destination for all divers and is well endowed with diverse marine life. Majestic mountains sculpted by ancient volcanoes, a shimmering lagoon and a barrier reef dotted with tiny motu or islets make Bora Bora the most stunning island in the South Pacific.
