Mongloia is a landlocked country in East and Central Asia. It is bordered by Russia to the north and China to the south, east and west. During the communist government the country was closed to outsiders. Only in 1991 the doors have been opened and travelers are seizing the opportunity to tour Mongolia and explore the relatively unspoiled country. From the Gobi desert to the snowy peaks of the Altai mountains and the crystal waters of Lake Khovsgol, Mongolia is truly an uncommon adventure that will challenge and fascinate the most experienced traveler. The country of Genghis Khan is home to a welcoming population, The unique culture here still supports nomadic peoples, and much of the economy is based on animal herding and exporting cashmere; the dominant religion is Shamanism. Mongolia’s top attractions are Gobi Desert, Lake Huvsgul, Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve and Khorgo-Terkh National Park.
