Winter Illuminations at Nabana no Sato

Winter Illuminations at Nabana no Sato’s Botanical Garden is the most beautiful light show in whole Japan. Nabana no Sato is located on the island of Nagashima in Kuwana, it turns into a fairy tail land every year; this event attracts millions of people worldwide and makes visitors feel like they're walking among the stars. Nabana no Sato’s Botanical Garden outdoes itself by using millions of sparkling LED lights all over the vast grounds including on the water and in the gardens. Every year the Botanical Garden is decorated differently; this year's theme is nature. Spectacular scenes including a rainbow across the sky, an astonishing sunrise inspired by Mt. Fuji at dawn, and even an aurora will be the ingredients for a memorable winter vacation in Japan.
Winter Illuminations at Nabana no Sato run for 4 full months, the events starts from mid November and ends in mid March. Immediately after sunset, the lights are turned. Until 22:00, locals and tourists have the opportunity to walk, take photos or just marvel to the best light show in Japan.
Among the most popular attractions of the park is the light tunnels depicted above. Tunnels have a length of 100-200 meters long and feature 700,000 – 1,200,000 millions small floral LED lights that can glow in different shades. They are extremely popular with couples looking for romance.
Another popular attraction of the Japan’s Winter Illuminations at Nabana no Sato is a beautiful 120 meters long river of light set up over the park's large central pond. The LED lights are constantly changing their colors and are aligned in trails which wound from a chapel to a bridge across the pond and. LED lights are also set up over virtually every flower bed in the park and are arranged to different themes. On one side of the pond is situated Island Fuji, there an observation deck lifts visitors 45 meters into the air for amazing view over the park. Riders are situated around the perimeter of the ride, which lifts up and then rotates 360 degrees to give them a full view of the park and the surrounding area, including Nagashima Spaland amusement park off in the distance.
Toward the rear of the park is the Hanahiroba flower field. It is the largest of its king in Japan measuring about 26,400 square meters. Millions of tiny LED lights cover the field during the winter illumination season, but usually it is populated by thousands of cosmos, irises, hydrangeas or tulips. An animated show set to music is performed on the field by changing the colors of the lights or by turning them on and off.
Entrance to the illumination and costs about 2000 yen; however, there are several combination tickets that include both transportation and entry to the park at discounted prices.
