The Republic of Seychelles is an island country spanning an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean to the east of Africa and northeast of Madagascar. Seychelles has the highest Human Development Index in Africa. The Seychelles is a paradise for nature lovers, there are three main islands where visitors can stay, and countless others which offer fantastic daytrips. Aldabra is the world's largest coral reef is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is one-third of the Seychelles' total land mass. The second largest land tortoise in the world can be seen here. The Bird Island is another famous sightseeing in Seychelles, which is a coral island comprising of the breeding grounds for sea turtles. Cousin and Silhouette islands which are owned by the International Council for Bird Preservation containing virgin forests and exotic flora and fauna.
